Mego 8" DC Comics Superheroes at Toyfair

We are super grateful to Mego Corporation for the opportunity to show case the upcoming line of 8″ DC Comics Superheroes coming to yet undisclosed retailers, a few disclaimers before we start: These are prototypes, the heads are pre-production and may appear large but will be proportionate upon release. Costuming is also hand made, so…

        They look really nice.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Oh yes, these look great! Of course I know there will be tweaks, but I think the finished figures will look awesome, and I love the Batman. Great job to everyone involved. And thank you for giving us 8" DC Megos again.

I think the Batman right now looks pretty nice, and I think with final adjustments they all will be just fine.

Who is the blonde between Wonder Woman and Harley? Could that be Black Canary?

Saw some additional pics on other posts. Yes, that is Black Canary! How cool!

At first, I wasn't thrilled that they were re-using the Bewitched Samantha/Kelly Bundy doll face for Wonder Woman but now I kind of don't mind because it sorta reminds me of the old Ideal Super Queen Wonder Woman doll.

Can't wait for these! Looks like the Black Canary may be the Kris Monroe sculpt from what little you can see.

I really like these, especially Superman it's a very cool head sculpt.

I am officially excited for these. When I first heard about them in the scuttlebutt from Mego Meet, I was in "wait and see" mode, but now that we have seen the prototypes and given even a vague expected release window, I am starting to look forward to these and the future of Mego, especially since the choices for Wave 8 were mostly out o my wheelhouse of stuff I am interested in. The Wave 8 stuff looks good, but most of it was just not my cuppa, so I am happy to have something to look forward to.

a few disclaimers before we start:

Costuming is also hand made, so subject to change
All figures are subject to licensor approval
Expected due date is hopefully Summer/Fall 2020
Well there goes 90% of the comments!

Seriously, these look fantastic. The sculpt and style are a perfect blend of the retro and modern sensibilities. I think there is something for everyone.

My big thing is they are trying to release them in window boxes, I love that. It makes putting them on the shelves easier.
