RIP Ja'net DuBois -- "Good Times"

Damn! I loved the show "Good Times" growing up! She was fantastic as Willona Woods! In addition, she wrote and sang the theme song to "The Jeffersons" another all-time favorite show of mine! What a talented lady!!! She was 74.....

Good Times is *still* compelling; brilliant content and Willona was a rockstar. I've typed it many times here, the lack of GT Megos was a huge oversight.

RIP Ja'net, you were a riot!

I loved Good Times!! I realize it did so with a sometimes oversimplified manner, but it was one of the only shows that really talked about some of the things going on in some of my neighborhoods.

In Dubois' honor, I will break out my t-shirt with a cool vintage iron-on. It's not Dubois, but it was clearly Good Times-inspired.

Trivia, she also sang the Jefferson's theme, "Move'in On Up"
