It's so fun. Colorful, bizarre... but best of all, it is brimming with youthful jubilance and enthusiasm. It's just FUN. I like it better than Battle Beyond the Stars, which can be a bit of a slog.

I also recommend Starcrash, if you're in the mood for a bizarre Star Wars ripoff with Marjoe Gortner and Caroline Munro.

If you like Starcrash (Italian Star Wars), there's a good chance you'd enjoy Message from Space (Japanese Star Wars). Plus, your screen name and avatar suggests you enjoy Japanese cinema. I'd seek it out for an energetic good time.

Fun while a bit confusing, but to me, what stood out are the amazing spaceships, which Popy nailed.

I've had a fascination with the show ever since a South American kid traded me his gum cards from it in the sixth grade. It's Japanese episodic television and it's subtitled, so I can't put it on when I'm working, I have to watch it. I've made it through half the series, it's fun and a little weird.

Like Doctor Who of the era, every planet appears to be a quarry.

That was definitely a laugh. I wonder if you could do the same for Starcrash, Battle Beyond the Stars, Starchaser, Star Odyssey or even The Shape of Things to Come. You could definitely do it with Turkish Star Wars since they simply lifted scenes directly from Star Wars.

Is it similar in tone and pacing? Quality of effects? Any of the same actors? Sorry for the interrogation, but I'm considering a purchase.

I wish i had the talent for customs. I'd love some Popy-style customs from this movie.

There's an "eight inches of Vic Morrow" joke i can't seem to write there...

Those costume designs are just amazing. I mean, I know they are culturally influenced, but they are so over the top. Like outer space toys come to life.
