    RIP Kirk Douglas

I think he counts as a big name...

Kirk Douglas, the "Spartacus" actor who later in life became known as a Hollywood paterfamilias and activist, has died.

Damn right he does! A true Hollywood legend.

My Dad loves his movies. His favourite movie of all time is Lonely are the Brave and I grew up watching this, Man without a Star and others.

Always liked Kirk. A genuine tough guy too.

    RIP

I enjoy many of his films and some, I admire. I have mixed emotions about him as a person.

I'll bet TCM will air a marathon of his movies, but I do know he did lead a controversial off screen life.

I guess this just leaves Olivia DeHavilland who's also 103 she lives in seclusion somewhere in France.

Did he really rape a woman ?

After I heard that a few years ago I can't watch him and not think of that.

          RIP

he had a great, long life. I know there are some shady stories about him but take those with a grain of salt. some may be true some not. either way I always liked his movies. He is basically the last of his era of leading men actors
