R.I.P. Christopher Tolkien

Christopher Tolkien passed today at age 95. He became the literary executor of his father's estate and primary editor in the 1970s and was responsible for the posthumous publication of much of his fathers works, notes, etc. His contributions to the Tolkien legacy are huge.

he also was the one to finish and put out the Silmarilian. I think he was under appreciated for all his efforts though. I read several of the volumes he put out, some were a bit dry to get through but some were quite good. 95 is a good long life, but it feel like the end of an era and the connection to JRR Tolkien. RIP!
