    Golden Gloves host Ricky Gervais

I don’t watch self-serving award shows. But I always watch Ricky Gervais opening monologue because he’s always brutally funny.

    Warning...this may offend some people...

Golden Gloves? Freudian slip? Hosting a bunch of amateurs?

I was so happy to hear him put celebs in their place. not that it's likely to keep most of them from flapping their traps, but man he nailed it

Hollyweird needs to be put in its place, especially after revelations that are no longer conspiracies. Morally debased celebs are the last people who should be giving lessons on what's right or wrong.

So spot on it's almost painful to watch... there might not have been many "amens" in the audience, but I was dying.

Anyone who works in the "Hollywood machine" knows that you have to tow the line in regard to certain sacred cows, and to see them smashed by Ricky Gervais like Godzilla rampaging through the city is amazingly funny to watch.

Whew! That was good! I only wish it would have lasted longer.
