Vintage Mego: Buck Rogers Star Searcher

This week we look at the total oddity that is the “Buck Rogers Star Searcher” a repackaged Micronauts vehicle, we also look at some of the other proposed (but not produced) vehicles and playsets for this line. They may look familiar. Visit us online at : http://www.megomuseum.com/galleries/buck3/ Twitter: @megomuseum Facebook Group: Mego Mania

I loved the Buck Rogers line, and while I don't think I was aware of this toy at the time, I probably would have used it along with my other Buck Rogers ships and figures.

^The packaging has a Continuity Studios vibe to it, or maybe Dick Giordano's "Dik Art" after he went out on his own.

I did manage to confirm that the Draconian ship is from the Gold Key comic, so, whoever drew this was using it as a reference instead of show photography or blueprints.
