    Classic toy photography of 2019

I had a lot of fun this year creating a new kind of "art" so to speak.

Between work and home it's been harder to find enough time to build models and paint, since both are very labor intense,
so I turned my attention to photography which fulfills my creative needs and I can achieve similar results in a fraction of the time.

I worked on a lot of old favorites from Mattel, Kenner, Playmates, Tomy, Remco, and of course MEGO! Looking forward to many more in the coming new year!

They are all wonderful but I especially like the Tron one. That's fantastic. Love those figures. Glow and translucent is hard to beat.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

            Excellent and way cool!

Such a nice variety and nicely taken.

A plus to see Battlestar Galactica represented.

Those are great pictures. The Tron one is my favorite. Are you using Photoshop or some other software?

Thanks! About 90% of it is done in-camera using special lighting techniques. I use multiple light sources with color transparencies. Photoshop is used to add logos and some FX like the Cylon eyes, etc. The star field on the Outer Space Men pic was photoshopped one star at a time. The TRON pic was done by standing the translucent figures on top of small puck lights that were covered with blue transparencies.

The large Kenner Darth Vader was especially tricky. There is a light just off camera aimed directly at the lightsaber blade to make it glow.

I'm always pleased to see your photos and I like many of these lines. Artistically, I think Tron and OSM's Electron stand out. Keep them coming!
