My face on a action figure

I recently used that My face on a action figure service Figures Toys offers. I paid $50 for a Mego 8 inch head. It looks nothing like me. Has any one else tried the My face on a action figure? How did your come out?

I’ve thought about doing one but never crazy about the grainy look of them.

I would be interested in seeing that as well. I remember Vinny did one of him and his son, and I thought the results were pretty good (I think FTC actually uses it in their promos).

Does it have to be your face? Can it be a celebrity or TV star? I've thought about making some custom figures.

I believe it cannot be a celebrity... they have a disclaimer of some sort on their site about this, as well as cartoon characters.

As far as how much it looks like you no clue. I have seen some ok results from them. I think you need to use a good set of photos you like. If they did celebrities then they would he open to lawsuits for copyright violations. At. The same time if you could find a reasonable lookalike to submit the request that sounds ...doable.

The heads they have created for me are very close in terms of resembling the family and friends I have recreated in Mego form.
