The best picture you will see today

My friend Ken shared with me this wonderful photo from around 1980 I suspect. I wish more of our parents took photos like this. Ken grew up not far from me and we can't ascertain if this is a WH Smith store of the Dominion Playworld in the Scarborough Town Center.

Either way, it's just glorious and I love the Mego Micronaut cameo.

If you have photos like this and want to share, PLEASE send them on down.

      Amazing!

I think that the display looks to be at least eight ESB figures deep in spots!

Star Wars toy displays were most impressive.

Based on what I can see of the card, my guess is Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot.

Yeah, that looks like that would be it - with the little bit of blue for the name background and the shape on the upper left hand. Plus, it would have been in the wave just prior to the first ESB figures, so most probably a Luke as pilot. Interesting that there is an ESB R5D4 on the rack above it. There is at least one more Star Wars cardback up there behind the R5 unit. I think that one is C-3PO. The picture sure does take me back to staring at the rows and rows of figures at my local grocery/five and dime store.

I, too, appreciated Ken's deep reference/homage to 1978's 'Heaven Can Wait."
