Earth 2 Superman

Hi,
I am working on a custom of Earth 2 Superman as he commonly appeared in the 1980s and more specifically during Crisis on Infinite Earths. Does anyone know if Earth 2 Superman as he appeared at that time had a yellow 'S' logo on the back of his cape much like the Earth 1 Superman or was his cape completely red?
