    Toilet Seats: 1975

I had the Owl one as a kid, being nostalgic for a toilet seat feels like rock bottom.
Things can only up from here!

Also, I had no idea it was #WorldToiletDay

Oh. My. God. People actually had these in their bathrooms??! My mom was satisfied with a plain black toilet seat. Although, some of her friends had the crochet bathroom decor that freaked you out.

Oh Great Owl, give me your wisdom as I sit and ruminate.

My grandparents had the toilet seat covers, but I never knew they made "artsy" toilet seats.

These are so amazingly 70's, down to the particular shades of green, red and pink. I've never seen these before.

Like Chris, I remember the toilet seat covers. I even remember when I finally got my own apartment, I inexplicably felt the urge to buy a toilet seat cover to match my bathroom mat and towels. I came to my senses before any tragedies occurred.

Another thing I have no memory of is a matching cover for the tank-

It took a full decade for people to realize carpet around the toilet was a really bad idea.

You just gotta love the pink toilet paper roll.

I'm liking that wooden plank one for a classic outhouse look

Should have silk screened a few flies on it
