Not sure if this was local or national

It would always play on the New York City stations

Commercial includes iconic song at the end

These are all GOLD!! (no offense to James Diamond) They're gloriously awful!

This one had higher production values but its insidious jingle still unexpectedly pops into my head to this day.

      WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

This guy has been selling tires in my area for decades. He always yells like that. He used to have his daughter in his ads, and lately he's been featuring his grandkids.

He's loud, and annoying, but he really does have good prices.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

Great idea for a thread. For whatever reason everyone in area would sing along to this.

I loved that guy. He was the Knievel of Car Salesmen. His "dog" Spot was always some exotic animal.

Oh I LOVE the Carvel commercials. Something about Tom Carvel's gravelly voice... sounds like he's speaking through a mouthful of delicious ice cream cake.

My mom used to always laugh when Carvel said, "thinnie-thin, for your fattie-fat friend"

To this day, a friend and I still quote parts of those commercials in Tom Carvel's voice. Sadly though, I've never eaten a Fudgie the Whale.

Heard so much about this place from my guitar bud: Joe Romagnola and I also got a bootleg of Zakk Wylde jamming out from there!!!

I think either Mountain or Leslie West's band played there too and there is a boot from there also!!!

                          Go see Cal!

This old F*****, when I was living in LA, I would see his commercials late at night and when I would drive the 405 down to Huntington Beach I would see the dealership from the freeway!! Always wanted to GO SEE CAL, but was worried he would see me a LEMON!

I am so sure that he was a HUGE INFLUENCE on CHOPPER and his late night INFOMERCIALS in Las Vegas and how he ended up doing KING OF CARS on A&E!!

That old F***** served gallantly in World War II. Mr. Worthington enlisted in the Army Air Corps. Commissioned a Second Lieutenant, he was the aerobatics champion at Goodfellow Field in San Angelo, Texas. He saw combat as a B-17 Flying Fortress pilot with the 390th Bomb Group, flying 29 missions over Germany. He was discharged after the war as a captain. Worthington was awarded the Air Medal five times, and received the Distinguished Flying Cross, which was presented to him by General Jimmy Doolittle.

Worthington's military service was frequently revisited in the 21st century in aviation magazines, since he had trained pilots who would become some of America's first astronauts.

Aaahhhh, Carvel's! They ran those ads down in Philly, too.

I wonder if this memorable ad ran up in New York since the place was on the Jersey Shore. I think it ran a lot in my late 70's/early 80's TV watching days-

^--- yep, Brigantine commercials played on the NYC stations too … I remember them well

There was another Jersey Shore spook house that had TV commercials too (I forgot the name)
