Today's local commercials are produced much more professionally than when we were kids. But it was just that lack of professionalism that made them stick out and become part of your childhood. You know the ones that only ran on the independent stations during the day during reruns of McHale's Navy or Bewitched.
So what was in your corner of the world.
In Philly, we had an aptly named clothing store called Krass Bothers. They ran these low-budget, obnoxious 10-second commercials centered around a stupid pun. The spokesman, surrounded by sexy? women, would say "If you don't buy your clothes from Krass Brothers, you're all wet!" And then someone would throw a bucket of water on him. They did these for over a decade!
