If you wanted to make a playset to destroy or smash apart for a 12" figure, they should have made one for the 12" Hulk
not Wonder Woman. But I agree with most people in saying Magnetic Spiderman would have been my choice.

Magnetic Spider-Man. I still stick my ToyBiz magnetic Spider-Man all over the house.
The pocket Batcave just screams "repurposed Apes playset" to me.
Even though Mego had dropped the Apes line back in '76, I think the pale, stone look about the Pocket Cave gives it that Ape feel.
Why did Mego drop the POTA line? I always thought it did well for them. It would've been cool if the line could've expanded into the CAH format. And the playset potential would have been endless.
WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.
Mego's initial 1976 Toyfair ads featured never before seen Ape artwork:
Now this would have likely had to have gone to the publisher in December, so in between that time and the 1976 Toyfair, apes were off the menu. I'd love to know what was in store.
^^ There are some concept drawings out there that feature unreleased POTA toys and models dated between 74 and 76. I'll dig through my pics… I kinda remember one with a Mego citation in the illustrators notes.
Magnetic Spiderman is my pick.
