    Universal Monster paint by numbers

These glow-in-the-dark paint by number portraits of the Wolfman and the Phantom of the Opera were made by craft House in 1975.

They also made a Frankenstein who is somewhat generic-looking, and then a Mummy who bears no resemblance to the Universal Mummy.

The Wolfman is by far the best of the lot. Although I like the way the Phantom resembles his Aurora model counterpart. I love the glow-in-the-dark paint.

Love the Wolf Man! I remember seeing these in Kirk Hammett's book. He commented on how they were pulling away from the James Bama artwork from the Aurora boxes, but like you said, clearly the Phantom is based on the actual model.

Ooh, I like these. It occurs to me that the Phantom got extra exposure because of the Lugosi restriction.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

            Those are wicked!
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I love that the scariest part of these is apparently the paint itself- "chilling oil paint" and "scary pre-mixed colors." Never mind the undead, run from the hues and tones!!

I loved paint-by-numbers as a kid. It felt like cheating, but I always loved the ease.

My review entitled: "Enjoyed by All" speaks for itself.
                  Really cool. Luv it!!!
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
