Excalibur movie figures

I know that you all have your favorites, but what about this movie? Nichol Williamson as Merlin would be a fantastic Mego figure!

Helen Mirren as Morgana; Nigel Terry as Arthur.... great actors like these NEED to be in Mego form. We could get some cool armor and accessories too for the knights.

Its a pretty narrow audience appeal for that movie. Generic knights would probably do about the same business and no pesky rights to deal with.

I wouldn't mind if they made these. It'd be an excuse to have another Patrick Stewart figure.

I'd be all over these, but the business side of me wonders if these would sell more than a generic Arthurian line, at least enough to justify the cost of the licensing and likeness rights.

^My thoughts as well. Particularly when Mego has the seemingly more lucrative, already-licensed, and similarly-themed LOTR.

I love Excalibur, though. Imagine a gold-armored Mego Mordred!

While most of the Super-Knights are great somebody dropped the ball on the King. I mean he doesn't even come with armor but a purple onesie??

I never knew about them back then, but that was a very questionable decision. The least they could have done was put him in a royal looking robe or something.

IMO, what "hurts" the King Arthur figure is the bodysuit approach--the figure seems cheap compared to the others and perhaps that's intentional. For me, a separate tunic/"doublet" and tights would have improved the figure a lot.
