they mentioned taking a disabled elderly man out of the house. Is Ron disabled? I mean he's only 81. also indicated the killer might have been a family member

They’re saying Ely’s son murdered her, then the police killed the son.

It sounds like Ron was impaired by a stroke according to Police reports, this is truly dismal news.

That is awful, the worst thing being, your own son doing this.

sounds like he was either strung out on something or mentally unhinged. that poor family now has to deal with the horrible grief of what he did

Oh lord, what a tragic turn of events. What's left of that poor family will be haunted by this forever. Very disturbing and sad.

It's sad, about the only time actors like Ely make the news is when they die. Only this story is much more sad than that. Ely had a very blessed life and its tragic his last years will be haunted by this.

His Wonder Woman episode is "the Deadly Sting". One of my favorite 70's tropes is the obligatory football episode.. Banacek, Columbo, McMillan and wife, Six Million dollar man all had one.

they're reporting now that the son called 911 after he killed her, and blamed it on Ron, who can barely speak anymore. I guess because of the stroke. Seems the police figured out very quickly it was not Ron who did it

This is horrible news. I spoke to him back in 1992. And I asked him; "How is Manuel Padilla Jr doing? (Jai) And he replied; "I haven't spoke to him in years! The last I knew, he was in that picture American Graffiti!!"
