I've been watching the series. I remember seeing Pyramids of Terror,"The Spider-Woman and the Fly", The Great Magini as kid from vhs from video stores. At one time a full set was coveted by tape traders. After seeing Invasion of the Black Hole,The Deadly Dream,The Ghost Vikings,Games of Doom its not near as bad as I thought it would be. I'd even prefer it over Filmation's new adventures of Batman from around the same time.

I enjoyed the cartoon back then. I colored the eyes of my Mego spider man yellow to match how he looked on the show .I also remember a "Web Woman" cartoon being on then too, but can't picture anything from it in my head save the comic book ad.Comment

It's okay, Brian...I understand. I'm a fan of the character too, the show was a bit wonky at times. I am a bit disappointed in some of the direction that Marvel has taken the character over the past several years, but I'm hoping she will be made to shine again someday.
I'd love to see her in the Marvel films.

I used to love this show when I was a kid. Has this ever had a proper home video release other than the VHS cassette from the 80's?Comment

It is suppose to be on Disney+ when it launches next month. From what I remember from the list I saw just about everything but the 60's shows will be included on the service. All Spider-man shows, the Hulk, FF & Iron Man from the 90's, the X-Men shows and also The Silver Surfer. The Avengers show from the Fox network will not be on there though.Comment

Sorry, but I must respectfully disagree. Spider Woman was fairly decent and I have fond memories watching it on Saturday mornings 40 years ago. BUT I prefer the New Adventures of Batman over...well.. anything!! But since this post is about Spider Woman, I do recall as a kid wishing that Mego could have made toy figures of her and DC's Plastic Man since both shows were on ABC. BUT, since most if not all Super Hero cartoons in the 70's had an annoying character, I would prefer the annoyances of BatMite over the likes of Jessica Drew's nephew. That kid annoyed the crap out of me, as did HERBIE the Robot on the New Fantastic Four from 1978. I always loved both Filmation and Hanna Barbera's Super Heroes shows over DePatie Freleng's shows. I also liked the intro to Spider Woman and was pleasantly shocked to learn that Spider Woman was voiced over by Joan Van Ark from Knots Landing. In 1979, I pretty much stayed on ABC and watched the World's Greatest Super Friends, The Plastic Man Comedy Adventure Show, Scooby and Scrappy Doo and Spider Woman. That year, CBS did not air Tarzan and the Super 7 locally. Since that show got pushed down to 12:00 Noon.Comment
