    Last Blood: Rambo V

I saw the new Rambo movie last night. I've been a fan of the franchise since I was a kid. I must say, this one didn't do it for me. It just never felt like a Rambo movie. Has anyone else seen it? I'm curious to hear what others thought.

Rambo is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. So, I’m interested in seeing the latest installment. I hope that I enjoy it.

Rampart, this is Squad 51. How do you read?

The first trailer I saw left me cold but the subsequent ones looked okay. But like u say, it didn’t feel like a Rambo trailer.
That said, I always loved the Rambo movies as well and plan to see this one for sure. Not sure how a seventy year old Rambo will pull it off but I’d still take an old Stallone over any of today’s action stars.

Rambo movies are renters for me, I look forward to this. Deviation from the formula is welcome at this point, I just want to see a good movie.

It's my wife's choice for tonight's movie and looks like were headed to see this. (I took her to Ad Astra last night, but she was OK with that because, well... Brad Pitt)

I really liked the first one, and the second was OK. 3 and 4 just felt like exaggerated re-treads. This one looks like a pivot.

It felt like Rambo towards the end. When he was building traps (with the Rambo music) and then wipes them all out!

First Blood was ok but I've always been a Missing in Action guy

Missing in Action 2 is one of my fav 80's movies

Rambo creator David Morrell is blasting the film, embarrassed to have his name associated with it..

David Morrell is a bestselling author of 32 novels, including the first appearance of Rambo, in "First Blood."

Thanks for the spoilers. No need to watch it now.

That's not really a spoiler. He just generically described every Rambo movie ever. I have not seen the movie and I would have guessed he would build traps while the theme music played.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Heh, i'd be surprised if that didn't happen.

Watched it last night. Not a huge Rambo fan, but my wife wanted to see it. It didn’t connect with me. Didn’t really care about any of the characters, even the ones you’re supposed to.

It’s basically Rambo killing a bunch of Mexicans.

I still might watch it through Redbox...as I don’t take Rambo movies seriously...

P.S. It was filmed in Spain, so a lot of the actors playing Mexicans are in fact Spaniards...

This has a Spaghetti Western movie feel to it...Italians playing American cowboys and Mexican vaqueros...
