Toy-Ventures: Matchbox MAC (Mobile Action Command)

This week we look at a toy line that seems to always get forgotten, Seriously I get so many emails about Matchbox's Mobile Action Command (MAC) and it's wonderful array of fun toys, we even look at the knock offs it inspired.

Check out this Wonder MAC site:

What a great toy line--I was unfamiliar with it. I can see how it could become addictive.

I never knew of this line until your discussions of it here. Were these 3 3/4" scale? If I've ever seen one in the wild, I don't remember it.

the figures are about two inches tall, Kenner kind of aped the line with M.A.S.K adding in some Transformers action.

Were there rack-toy versions of these, or was Action Jack ever imported? Deja vu today...

Great video. Thanks for spotlighting these.

I was one of those people who loved these but didn't remember the name of the line... somewhere on the Museum archives is my post asking what it was. I think I posted another asking about Zee Toys Metal Man, so I'm like a cliche...

Figures give me a bit of a Fisher Price Adventure People vibe.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
