Pac Toys Lords of Light Super Cut of Toy Commericials

Thanks to the amazing AcroRay (link to his channel below) we have this wonderful supercut of marketing from Toy Fair 1984. PAC toys attempted to create the Lords of Light toy line from Mego Micronauts Molds and glow sticks, an ambitious and fun toy concept that sadly didn't make it to market.

This rare piece shows two surviving tv spots and offers rare glimpses of the toy line that cut short too quickly.

I really got a kick out of seeing the costumed, life-size Micronauts aliens in those oh-so-80's commercials. AND what kind of pressure are you putting on your kid by naming him Futurion?!? Name your daughter Cinnamon, don't be surprised if she ends up dancing around a pole. Name your boy Futurion and he most likely will run off to space to fight aliens.

On a different note- Ray is awesome! His set up at Mego Con in '04 was stunning! (I was stunned). I still use his website as the definitive Micronauts information source.

Man, they really went all-in on this, didn't they? For 80s TV toy commercials, the production values of these spots were off the charts.

My question with this line is...would the glow sticks quickly lose their glow, like standard light sticks? If so, I wonder if PAC was planning on selling "refills"?

I watched this video yesterday, and right at the same time in my subscription feed was a video from Toy Galaxy on the topic, which thanked both AcroRay and Plaid Stallions for their research and videos. It was Lords of Light-palooza!
