Glow Body Parts and Boil & Pop

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Does using the Boil & Pop method on New MEGO figures with glow in the dark heads and hands damage the glow feature in anyway?

No, it doesn't. I've done it to a lot of new glow figures.

Frankenstein and Dracula have glow bodies, and Nosferatu only has glow hands and head.

Boiling is overkill, though. I can get them off without any heating at all, usually. A few seconds with a hair dryer, maybe, for good measure.

Boiling is the best way to assure that you don't break the weak pieces. I've broken a few wrist swivels trying to remove them without heating. I've also broken ankle pins from removing boots. So now I like to make sure I don't break anything, and boil some water first.

The modern figures seem to pop apart easier than the old ones. I've switched the hands off a couple of the new glow guys and it worked fine.
