I wonder what their price point will be. Will they stick with the 14.99 price they started with in 2018, or will they aim more toward the 12.99 price that seemed to get a little more attention.

Now that what Target wanted to sell is over with, what Mego suggest should sell better this time around.

The sign over the collectables section at our local Target has 7 figures on it- 6 Funko Pops and the lone Mego Bats.

Hopefully the figures will be easier to find in stores this time.

While this may be great news for some, this move absolutely kills the toy store/comic store market. If target can sell for 12.99 there will be no orders from small business as they cannot compete with those margins. My local shop, who was super excited to be a Mego dealer, will have zero incentive to restock if anyone can just go down the street and order or go online cheaper. Plus the case packs of 24 aren't shop friendly either.

If they maintain pricing integrity and keep the profit margins competitive with local businesses then cool. I don't see that happening, though. Target had its chance, and it was a total cluster. I hope the pricing is done fairly.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Back when I ran a comic book store it didn't bother if the local box stores sold the same figures. There reordering is very different than that of a comic book/specialty store. The box stores do not reorder till the product is done to nearly gone where specialty store can reorder whenever.

To be truthful we used to double our order on hot collectable items and keep on box stored in the back and wait till the box stores moved to the next wave. Then bring them out and reprice them. It happens more than you think.

That's good to hear. I never got the idea that they were poor sellers for target. And in the clearance aisle tonight I saw Jeannie, Bewitched and Full House but still 17.49.
