    Toy-Ventures: Filmation Super 7 Merchandise

Time to talk about my 40-year obsession with the Filmation series "Tarzan and the Super 7" and my long hunt for merchandise which are mainly cheap rack toys but I love it none the less.

I don't think Poopatroppers or Diener erasers would count as "obscure" toylines. Diener seemed pretty ubiquitous in the 70's and 80's and I feel like I always have a lot competition for Poopatrooper stuff.

Its not a toyline, but I do feel like one of a few collecting stuff from the old Two Guys department store. Its a small collection as I focus really on non-product stuff (way too much stuff). I have name badges, blazers, bags, promotional items, etc.

that two guys jacket is TIGHT! How are you not strolling around in this? Oh yeah, you're married so all those ladies falling at your feet would cause issues.

Great video! I have vague memories of the Super 7, but I was glued to it every Saturday, I know. I do recall thinking Super Stretch and Mister Fantastic were the same guy at one time. Hey, I was 3 or 4, give me a break!

Even with my house full of toy stuff, I can't really think of anything too obscure that I particularly go after. Everything that was once kind of a little obscure is now a merchandising machine. Even Haunted Mansion stuff is very prolific now, and that has changed in the last 5 or so years. I'm not really into an abandoned property like Filmation's Super 7.

I'm sure you already know this Brian, but there was a great article on Jason of Star Command in the last issue of TwoMorrow's Retro Fan.

I didn't know that, I have not been able to track that down here so i recently cancelled my subscription to back issue and switched it to this mag.

I think Megabug Gladiators is my obscure collection. I daydream about what might have constituted Wave 2--a beetle, a centipede, a wasp? Ach...

I have a very spotty recollection of The Super 7 show: I liked Moray, and vividly remember Super-Stretch & Micro-Woman, as well as Jason of Star Command. But the rest is a mystery to me and I suspect I may have been watching other shows during certain segments.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I loves me some Filmation. I was always surprised this didn't get action figures. Seemed tailor made for it. I do dig those puffy stickers, though. Nice collection.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
