    Altering New Mego Heads?

I wanted to ask if it's possible to alter the look on the new Mego heads?

for example, if you wanted to remove paint or alter a hair style could you sandpaper it off?
the new Mego heads are hard plastic material, so that's why I am asking.

The reason why I ask is, I am thinking of doing a custom and Mirror Sulu head would work
but I would need to sandpaper off the bangs to even out the hairstyle.

If there's a way? sandpaper or something else plmk and thanks.

The new Mego heads aren't hard plastic material. They are like all the other Mego heads out there. Some are thicker than others, which makes them seem hard, but boiled water softens them up really easy. When I shrink them down, then they turn into hard plastic. Sanding should work great for you, depending on how you do it. Emery boards should work well.

Mirror Sulu also has the sculpted on facial scar. You may need to remove that, too.

I would remove paint with acetone, not by sanding.

Thanks Lonnie, so acetone would remove the paint, what about smoothing the sculpted surface after removing the paint?
          sanding?
