How long till Mego finishes ST Crew?

I am at a lost as to figure out just how many more waves of Star Trek are they going to release until we get the core group? There are still part of the core group that has yet to come out:

Dr. McCoy
Montgomery Scott
Nurse Chapel

And for variants:
Captain Kirk (in yellow outfit)
Lt. Uhura (in yellow outfit)

I’m far more anxious to see a screen accurate Klingon, Trelane, Ruk, Harry Mudd, etc than those but we all have our own wish lists.

I’d suspect McCoy isn’t far away.

Sorry guys but this is my first time collecting Mego/ReMego Star Trek figures. Growing up my brother & I were not that into the Trek figures. Then later on in the second rival I was working and going to college so my collectables were hit and miss plus I do not remember seeing them on shelves. Now that I am older & enjoy watching Star Trek on MeTV I now collect Star Trek. So I am happy to get my chance to collect Mego Star Trek just do not want 20 Kirk & Spocks before they finish the main crew.

This is beginning to look like the Mattel JLU figures, in the three packs you got lots of Superman & Batman and then one new figure. That hurt one trying to complete the set.

I would think (hope) Dr. McCoy and Scotty are in the very near future. I agree we should get a Nurse Chapel too and yellow/gold shirt Kirk, that would round out the crew. But definitely more villains and aliens since there was so many, maybe the female Romulan Commander? we need more gals then just LT Uhura.

Maybe Scotty in dress uniform kilt to go along with dress uniform Kirk and Spock would get more sales then red shirt Scotty
and McCoy in short sleeve medical shirt instead of the standard federation blue long sleeves?

I would be buying red shirt Scotty every time I fond them and replace the heads. You can never have enough away crew members...

Yeah, and I'd go even a step further and argue that Star Trek has always been a bit problematic in that it's just not a very toyetic property. It's not like Star Wars with dozens of cool alien races, constant battles with laser pistols and lightsabers, smaller spaceships and individual fighters...a whole lot of Star Trek is people just standing and/or sitting around talking.

Don't get me wrong, I love Star Trek...more than Star Wars actually. But Star Wars makes for better toys, especially if you're trying to sell to kids. There have been so many Trek lines that barely make it past the big three, and there's a reason for that. Uhura isn't Princess Leia. She spends 95% of the time sitting in a chair with a headset on doing nothing. Same with Sulu and Chekov. They sit at the helm and push buttons. Wow. That's exciting. Let's face it, he most action packed episode of Star Trek is probably "Arena", which is why we've gotten the Gorn three times now. Gorn sells.

on the other hand we have recently had 3, more action oriented Trek films which have attracted a whole new generation. so who knows. maybe they should do the two packs again and have Kirk and McCoy, Spock and scotty

Well the good doc would know about Scotty and mcoy from the emce sales.how ever you just don't know.at the time period the Scotty's at retail around here sold very well.and I only saw mcoy once at retail.( Mind you .they were sold at comic shops.and Suncoast ) .and online they did well.today on eBay they are up in price a bit.i believe the new megos of them would sale better then chekov and sulu. They will get to them .the market is more better then 10 years ago because of Target and other retailers and more online stores like big bad toy store and entertainment earth .also Amazon.

To be fair they were pricier. I'm sure you'll get more red shirt army builder purchases at current Mego prices than Diamonds old price. I passed on DSTs prices entirely. I still dont own McCoy or Scotty myself and look forward to getting them too.
