    Robotech Veritech Fighter

Picked up a decent Robotech Veritech Fighter off of Craigslist. Was wondering wether anyone had any info on the Veritech Fighters similar to the Transformer Jetfire that actually do transform. Were there any made in the 80's? Is there a decent reference website or list somewhere? I wanted to start looking into collecting them but have no clue where to start. I didn't know that this particular fighter didn't transform.

Takatoku was the first to put out the Macross/Robotech Valkyries: 1/55 & 1/100 Scale. The molds were sold to Bandai, who took it to another level and after that things got crazy. The amount of detail that went into these fighters in the later years is insane.

They did; which appears to be what steelcouch scored. They were like the Kenner Star Wars ships that the figures can pilot. They didn't triple transform, which was really the genius of the original Valks.

Love Macross/Robotech. My brother was the one that was into Gatchman and Yamato...I was the Macross/Robotech fan in the house. I never saw any of these toys or figures...then again I probably wasn't paying attention. Toys stopped mattering by the time these came out.

Macrossworld is a great site to get started. Go to the Toys link.

This thread got me excited about Robotech again. Picked up a Gakken Alpha 1/55 Scale from the Genesis Climber MOSPEADA (Robotech: Next Generation) Series. It's Gakken's middle sized Alpha, and does the triple transformation. I wish I had the space for their 1/35 Scale Alpha. That is one amazing toy.

I found this really cool commercial for the Gakken 1/35.

Picked up another Gakken Alpha. Same 1/55 Scale as the other, but this one only does a double transformation (Diver Mode, Soldier Mode). What makes this version very desirable to me is the amount of diecast they put in it. It's got a great heavy, solid feel to it.
