    Odyssey Video Games

The Odyssey video game system was the #1 choice of dads who purchased a video disk player instead of a VCR.

Is that little "2" mean this is the second version of Odyssey or is it Odyssey squared?

I remember seeing these in catalogs or in the electronics games department in the mall, but I never knew anyone that owned one. I did know two families that had laser disc players. though.

Wow, $300 in 1978 is like $1200 today.

One of my friends in 6th and 7th grade had this system. I'd play a few games everytime I visited, inclusing one fantasy rpg type game I forget what it was called, that we would play when some of the D&D group didn't show up.

We had this. It was soooooo bad. We got it free for listening to a time share scam. 8 hours they hammered on my grandma she would turn every question back on them.

My neighbor had an Odyssey. We played the heck out of some Monkey Shines.

I remember the ads in the magazines well, but nobody I knew ever had one.

My best friend had this, and I have a complete one now. We passed out to KC Munchkin and UFO during many sleepovers.
