Pennyworth follows the Wayne family's legendary butler, Alfred Pennyworth, a former British SAS soldier who forms a security company and goes to work with Thomas Wayne in 1960s London.
After watching the pilot I am a little confused. Alfred backstory fits better than most of the comic book backstories giving him military training. That being said the rest was just confusing.
*People punished on the streets like its back during pirate days?
*Thomas Wayne already introduced in the first episode?
*Two Gotham-esque villains in pilot?
*brutal violence & blood in a DC Comics show?
*Jack the Ripper showing up in episode 2?
I know this show only has 10 episodes but it feels rushed for reasons that do not make since. That being said, I do like the fact the Pennyworth sets up his own protection service. This will help him in the long run along with that military background. I will stick it through till the end but this is a strange series.
