Changing a Mego figure's hair color?

Is it possible to color or dye the hair of a Mego figure? More specifically, dying the hair from blonde to black? I have a couple of ideas in mind for a custom but it may involve dying the hair of the Bewitched Samantha. Any info would be most appreciated.

I'm not sure you could dye the hair without dying the skin. I think most people go with re-rooting the hair with the color they want. There are also wigs that fit, but they are expensive.

You could dye the whole head black and then paint the skin color.

Yeah, I figured my options were pretty limited. I thought of using RIT dye, however, I'm unsure of how it would react to the "scalp". I'll have to contemplate this a little longer.

I just got a black haired figure from CTVT two days ago because I couldn't figure out how to change the color of the existing hair, except for re-rooting.

If you use dye to tint doll hair, it may or may not work--but it will certainly dye the vinyl head. Go with re-rooting.

Yeah, I could just order a CTVT head and be done with it. I simply had an extra Samantha head that I thought I could use instead.
