I had one, my mother ordered it through Spiegel's catalog.

^ Did yours have the pull string and talk?

As always, great video! I don’t remember ever seeing this Dracula before today. I would have been 5 at the time. So, I should have been the target market for it. And, I vividly remember all of the Dracula stuff from that time, from films to merchandise.

I don't recall, I think not. I certainly remember the coffin-box but I'm unsure about the talker.

I was aware of it through the Alden's catalog. I wonder if this might have been a catalog-only item. I was a year old at the time of release, so only became aware of it after the fact.

That’s an interesting observation. That would explain its seeming rarity, now and why many didn’t encounter it contemporaneously.

Late 90's I had a Halloween decoration type vampire plush. Had a talk box that when you pushed it he gave the deep spooky vampire life. My nephew had the then new Tickle Me Elmo with a virtually identical talk box, just a squeakier laugh. One day those talk boxes were switched. Turned out he liked Elmo better with a deep Bwa ha ha ha hah laugh...
