Top Gun: Maverick

Top Gun 2 for those who don’t know...

Love or hate Tom Cruise...I have always respected his craft. Dude has always done his own stunts (like Jackie Chan). I’m not really sure if he’s really flying that F-18...or if he’s on a second cockpit seat behind the pilot...but dude is sure really taking off from that aircraft carrier with plenty of G-Forces to boot, that’s no CGI/blue screen trickery.

Looks like a fun Summer popcorn flick, just like the first Top Gun.

I've never seen Top Gun and I probably never will. The summer it came out i was working full time starting at 7 am, i missed a lot of pop culture that year.

I was totally lost during "Hot Shots", I kid you not, I didn't get the references.

Don’t get me wrong...Top Gun is not in my top 500, but it was a nice light popcorn flick.

I won’t be seeing the sequel at the theater...it’s a Redbox rental for me.

Top Gun is my wife's favorite movie. I like it but not as much as her. It was certainly a defining moment in 80s cinema not only for igniting the Cruise career but also for soundtracks.

How many top ten songs came off that album that were specifically written for the movie? Nobody does that anymore, they all pull from existing tunes and pay royalties. Nobody writes badasss songs for a film that actually also become hits. Rocky 4 and Purple Rain are other notables in the soundtrack category.
