Thread: Bring back the mailer box!

    Bring back the mailer box!

Who wouldn't love a cool mailaway exclusive?

No fancy box, or card art. Just the figure, a plastic bag, and a plain cardboard box.

It's sadly a thing that, in recent years has become a thing of the past.

There was nothing more fun than filling out the form and mailing it off.

    Then we'd wait.

    and wait

    and wait

    and wait

    and wait

and just when we had given up all hope, and written it off as a lost cause, the mail would arrive along with our shiny new "not sold in stores" treasure!
Looking for Iron Man Belt, Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Fever J, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman)

I'd like to see an exclusive figure that is gotten by proof-of-purchase tokens, or something similar.

Woah! I was thinking the same thing just the other day! Honestly, I don't think it's such a bad idea.

Yes. POP mail ins would be sweet.

Hasbro did this back in the GI Joe 25th and for the Indiana Jones line in recent years. Was fun to see these promotions back.

Most recently TMNT has offered up similar prizes with their pizza points that they brought back. The stuff there isn't quite as exclusive (just bagged versions of things that are/were at retail) but still pretty fun.

    Mego could definitely do that.

These offers are fun but how many collectors want to cut a token off of the card to mail in? Some folks keep their figures carded and don't want to ruin their cards like that.

It could be a receipt send-in, instead of tokens.

While I understand that, there are plenty of folks here willing to help.

Actually if they wanted to, CTVT could do it, since they do sell loose figures.
