Amazon.com might be a retailer since they carry Mego figures directly.

No idea what BAM & B&K are, so I hope they are not in the mix.

I believe BAM is Books-A-Million. Not sure what B&K was, thought for a moment it might be a typo for B&N or Barnes & Noble, but with B&N just recently being acquired by a hedge fund and being reorganized, I am not sure they are in a position to be a good partner at this point.

I saw these in person, and loved what I saw. I'm not sure how much I'm supposed to say, so I'll leave it at that. I think everyone will be very pleased with these.

Now I'm really ticked off that I couldn't make it to Megomeet. I just didn't have the vacation time for that weekend.

Yeah, the figures and boxes looked very nice, but they were just mock ups and nothing has been licensor approved yet, as I understand it. Very promising though.

Sad I missed Saturday, but had to split my time between two loves.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

From the comment about Wonder Woman, while also realizing that these are mock-ups, YET seeing how Mego reused EMCE sculpts...

I wonder if this is (Dr.) Mego's make-up for what the Mattel Retro-Action heroes were supposed to be, but instead turned out as?

Just random speculations since I have nothing else to go on right now

Yep. Typo. B&N. I have friend named Knoble.

My thinking is Barnes has been intensive on select toys to sell and Marvel Legends does well for them, so new owners are going to be open to move that direction. Mego can't be rejecting based on security as they need the footprint. Otherwise, might as well sell direct to Five Below.

That would appeared to be the deal for Twilight Zone, and those need to have some kind of color scheme to them this time or at least a box design that looks like an old TV.

I didn't get a clear look at WW as to the sculpt, but if you mean this is what Doc/Crimson intended for Retro-Action, I think that's a fair call. The style guide will also dictate the look, IIRC WW was the new suit.

I am really excited for this. Especially with the alleged new body it is suppose to come with.

Bring on the Justice Society and All Star Squadron !!!

Okay, had to unpack both physically and mentally after the Meet, but here's my impressions.

What we saw: Keep in mind nothing was approved and even the line-up is not final, a lot can change, everything could change. I did get a nice close look at the DC figures. It was a mix of classic designs and more modern. John Stewart and Flash were more modern takes very much in line with the JL animated looks; Batman was likewise more up to date (I didn't get as good a look at him). Supes looked pretty classic, and I noted the prototype had the appropriate notches on the top off the boots. Wonder Woman looked much more like a mock-up than a prototype, more something to give you a sense of where they were going than what she'll look like in the end. The window boxes were very classic in design; the window wasn't a perfect open rectangle, but showed the figure much like in the old days. Someone from my generation walking into a store and seeing these on a shelf would definitely get a jolt of nostalgia and recognize what these things are supposed to be.

What was said: Again, nothing finalized and signed and sealed. These will apparently be on the new bodies they showed, and the four retailers were not named. They were evidently able to pull a deal like NECA has done recently, skirting the master license by making the figures an exclusive (going three better than NECA with four exclusive outlets instead of just one). No hints given as to who will carry them; given Game Stop's resounding success with their exclusive SDCC NECA movie Turtle single pack releases, I'd wager they'd be interested if they were one of the folks approached. I'd be happy with that, as I had no difficulty getting the Turtles through their website. Target or Walmart would be a big outlet, but I'll be honest, given the recent problems with actually getting other exclusives through them, I'm almost hoping they aren't in the mix.

Lots can change, but the simple fact we are getting DC 8" Mego figures is enormous for the brand and for collectors. This is probably the biggest news since word first came out about Mego's return.

If nothing is finalized than do we know if they have the rights for DC 8 '' or will they be
bigger like 9"? Will these be at SDCC 2019? Not all of us can make it to the Megomeet
so this top secret stuff is killing me.

I'm wondering if the 8 inch DC license became available because Mattel's license is expiring and McFarlane Toys and Spin Masters are taking over the DC license and were't doing the 8 inch type figure.
