Need help with Identifying 1980's toys

    Hi!

I'm looking for help identifying a line of toys and the company that made them.

In the 1980's I mail ordered for a series of molded plastic Marvel characters. They were like the Marx ones from the 1960's and 1970's but an inch or two smaller. I remember a Human Torch, Sub-Mariner, Captain America, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Doc Ock, Green Goblin and I want to say Thor and Iron Man but not 100% sure on the last two.

They were basically statues or very large army men about 3-4 inches tall. Each one was a single color like Green, Red and Blue but just to reiterate, these are NOT the Marx figures. If I remember correctly Captain America was in a pose where he held his shield over his head and it had a pin hole on the shield so you could slide him down a string. Unlike the Marx figures the color choices made sense too. For instance Cap was blue, the Torch was red and the Goblin was green. Do these sound familiar to anyone?

Could they have possibly been knock-offs?

No, but thank you. The other poster nailed it.

VERY hard to come by nowadays. It's just like they all disintegrated or something. I had both sets offered through Heroes World myself. Even did a podcast episode on what little I know about the line, mostly my memories of it, plus some info gleamed from online research, mostly on Brian's Plaid Stallions site.

I see single figures at toy shows, but they're CRAZY rare.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures
