It's wonderful! I like how the Samson sculpt looks a bit like Harry Hamlin.

                Thanks everyone.

Gonna share a couple technique tricks..

                1) the Shield. I'd came across this 3D eagle quite some time ago...never really knew what to do with it. Well, it had a great wingspan and with a bit if work, I could merge the flat art onto something....so, I made a flat circle disc and (within the software) melded the two items together. PLA properties are kinda cool - I can re-heat 3d prints and manipulate them. So, I wanted a shield....I came across a glass dome that had the proper shape I was looking for....laid the 3d print on top of the dome, had The Boy start up my heat gun and blow it all around the 3d print (I was wearing gloves fyi). As the temp rose, the print softened...and I could shape the flat disc into the shield. Takes a little bit of patience and you have to allow time for cooling.

                2) texture. I generously applied sandable primer to the shield once it cooled. When I say generous, I mean generous...so much heavy spray, several coats within minutes. This allowed the paint to severely crack and separate. I let it dry for a little bit and once I was satisfied, I poured some paint thinner into a cup. I grabbed an old wooden toothbrush, dipped in the thinner and began brushing the primed shield....circular motions, swipes, you name it...I pretty much just kept working it until the deep cracks blended away. Lay flat in front of a fan for a few hours...applied gold.

Tremendously appealing. What a fantastic effort! This has got to be in the running for custom of the year.
I post in thy general direction!

you went to the next level, then skipped up another 2 levels, then stood on your tippy-toes to get this done. Now where is the 14" Mego Kraken
