Thank you everyone. When this first popped up on New Years Eve, the tumor was about the size of a strawberry. Now the doctors can't even feel or detect it, so that's pretty fantastic. The chemo really did a number on her but it kicked cancer's asss even more apparently. They surgery we opted for is still fairly involved and serious but not nearly as much as what we originally intended. Hopefully in the next few months her hair grows back out cause right now we look like a cult.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Does she have a female turban for the hair loss ?

A lot of women choose them over wigs

My sister used one during her chemo

Gave her kind of an Audrey Hepburn look

We bought a pretty nice chemo wig the day she shaved her hair and it looks okay. We have several hats that she changes out with her clothing and is fine with that. She had pretty amazing hair before this and she was pretty mad for a couple of hours when it was gone but has adjusted nicely.

Tomorrow morning is the big day. It'll be, between mastectomy and recon, around 7-8 hours, maybe a little less. I went through 32 surgeries with my previous late wife so I'm accustomed to this stuff and stress but I fear she is not. She's kinda freaking out a little but also just wants to get this over with and start recovering so she can return to work in August.

Thanks for all of the well wishes and encouragement. We have a great medical team and aren't too terribly worried but of course she's going to have stress and anxiety. I'll be checking in on facebook when possible with updates for her family and friends. And, its the perfect time for my annual re-reading of Kingdom Come. That's one of my goofy rituals.
