That's awful and I'm sorry to learn this. My brother had early onset Alzheimer's/Dementia and his course was pretty similar to what you described. Tough on everyone. My condolences.

Losing a parent is crazy tough but it does get easier over time

So sorry to hear about your loss. Dementia is such a difficult thing to deal with. Hopefully he has peace now.

                        Sorry to hear it.

It may not ring true now, but it will feel better in time.

My condolences to you and your family. I lost my mom two years ago to a very fast acting cancer. It still hit me like a brick, and I can't even imagine everything you and your mom are feeling right now. If you want to talk about it, contact me in a PM.

Sorry for your loss. A lot of people our age are or will have to care for parents with dementia, it is a terrible disease and I hope they advance treatments in the next few years.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Mike, I'm sorry to read this but I'm not surprised by the decline. I know you'd reached out to us recently on his condition, and I know from firsthand experience dementia often works rapidly. My father died from alzheimers/dementia in 2015 as was the last remaining sibling of 11 children. All of them died from that disease. It's a cruel, horrible and unfair disease to deal with as a family caregiver. You've faced this down the best you could and stayed true to the mission. That's truly all any of us can do.

The next few days are going to be a roller coaster emotionally. I hope to be able to see your spirits lifted a little bit in Columbus in two weeks.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.
