Splinter is still the only sequel that is in true perfect canon to SW. So many plot points got retconned during the production of Empire. Like changing Darth Vader to Anakin Skywalker. Obi Wan didn't lie to Luke from any point of view. Darth Vader did murder Anakin and Luke was actually supposed to meet Anakin's ghost, not Obi Wan's, on Bog world. Leia and Luke were also NOT siblings in SW.
I personally think Empire ruined Star Wars. When the movie came out, I was like, "What the hell is this?" I thought the movie was okay, but it wasn't anything like Splinter. I think the entire franchise would have been better if they went the Mind's Eye story.

It happened for Solo...it happened for Trek. Twice actually. Are we ok with recasting roles of classic characters to younger actors? I dont want to see Luk Skywalker teen moisture farmer ..but a Han Solo movie series would be ok with me.

Sebastian Stan bears an uncanny resemblance to a younger Mark Hamill, and he's already on Disney's payroll....

And in the tradition of Disney movies can Broadway be far behind? Watch for Vader! coming to the Wintergarden Theater in Fall 2027.

Also, he's aware of this "Fan casting" and is flattered buy it and a little intrigued. I could see this...he has the acting chops and likeable personality to pull this off.

I would also like to see a Han Solo Disney TV series. But they would have to get a better Actor than Alden Ehrenreich...because he just doesn't have any charisma. They guy is a complete dud.

It's looking like an Obi Wan Disney streaming series might be on!!

Star Wars alum Ewan McGregor is reportedly in talks to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi for a new series on the Disney+ streaming service.

An Obi-Wan Kenobi online series will be a lot of fun!

I think Variety confirmed it was going to be made, but maybe they will have a series description and official Disney announcement soon.

That's something that movie rumors were around since 2012.

We will probably get confirmation at D23 next week.

Agreed. The prequels are something I prefer to pretend do not exist. However, Ewan McGregor's role as Obi-Wan was excellent. It was just the rest of the crap that was terrible. I would definitely check this series out. Obi-Wan has plenty of back story that could be told. And if McGregor is involved, that would be excellent.
