    Greatest Comic Cover

What do you think is the greatest comic book cover in your opinion? I think we've done this before but it's been a long time. This is probably my all time fav.

      I actually prefer #9 cover

DD #99 has a great Romita cover.

That Madbomb cover is DA BOMB.

It's hard to pick the absolute greatest, but this one has to be up there.

Lots of Marvel here, so I'll throw in a great DC one:

Many here will scoff at this one, as it’s not a traditional comic book cover...but I have always loved it...

Wow it's like picking among your kids, I could go with any of the Steranko, Cap or Fury covers or his Creatures on the Loose #21 or Hulk annual, or with Kirby's covers to Avengers 1 or 4, but, there's one artist who stands out even more to me, and that's Frazetta...

either one of his Buck Rogers covers from Famous Funnies in the early 50's...

or one of his cover for EC's final issue of Weird Science Fantasy...

To me no cover will ever touch Superman #300. I can’t tell u how many times that cover is displayed throughout my home (fridge magnet, wall poster, etc)

Unless of course, I go with the grand master of comics, Will Eisner, and one of his femme fatales from the Spirit...

Or if we open it up to European comics, there's always Philippe Druillet, especially his cover to the 6 Voyages of Lone Sloane...

                          Avengers 141 -
A classic battle perspective. It may not be the best cover ever, but it holds a special spot as my favorite. I'm a sucker for any of the covers on the Mead school supplies (like Cap's Mad Bomber above), but the Avengers was my favorite book as a kid so this one rates a little higher. I remember tracing this one several times to try and teach myself to draw. I failed.

GREAT call! I have that on a T-shirt myself, and on a series of 70s party plates. And of course Mego reused the main Superman image for it's 12" Superman series boxes.
