Flash, is pretty much done. Dr. Zarkov and Dale Arden are still in the works. Ming, still lacks a head, but I'm getting new ideas. P1060116.jpg

Dr. Zarkov is so close to complete. Added 3 gold studs on front collar, red felt felt chest emblem with large gold stud in center and a brown velvet ribbon belt to shirt. Still waiting to find the material to make the pant's stripes in the correct blue.P1060155.jpg

You should try hitting up Austin Hough. At one time, he had a resin head of the 9" Ming shrunk to 8" scale.
Of all the souls I have encountered his was the most...human.

I have both of Austin's Flash and Ming head, I'm looking for a smaller scale for Ming. Still working an original sculpt myself.

For Prince Barin, I'm using a Robin Hood figure with CTVT repro suit. Want to change, boots, belt and hat. For Prince Voltan I want to use Space:1999 Mentor head, but will probably use Blackbeard head, since I have two.

                    Mentor head would be perfect!

                    (Really loving these figures, btw.)

I'm liking the idea of sanding down the hair detail of a Klingon copy into a skullcap and using it for Ming.

                      Fun figures!!!
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Agreed. After fussing and working the bandolier belts to perfection, I realized that they were just a hold over design from original Mego design. Without the ability to use them to store the accessories, they became even less important. Decided not to use them in these customs. Dale now has Black Knight collar piece painted amethyst purple(silver/purple) with silver studs glued on. Currently working on her crown.

Dale looks nice in purples. For her tiara, consider plastic index dividers--they come in many colors and can be cut into shapes.

PNGwynne: Thanks for the tip. Perhaps after the quarantine I'll find something.
SeattleEd: Thank you. It's a challenging project, to say the least.
I'm gonna move this post to custom works in progress. It started as a discussion, now it's graduated.
