    Doctor Who.

Is it multiple series? I have seen it labeled as such.

I feel like the final episode of the 11th doctor was a series finale for Doctors 9 to 11. 12th doctor as an epilogue. 8th as a prologue.

That said - I loved the end of it.

I fell like Doctors 1-7 are a separate series. And 13 is the start of a new series -13 writers have been intentional (vocally) about separating it from past stories.

The Middle was wrapped up well last year.

MASH - First 4 seasons are my favorite TV show of all time...after that it just became dreadful, and I've never seen the Finale. I know how it ends but won't waste my time with it.

Seinfeld - Again, season 6-9 were just god awful and the Finale was probably the worst Finale of all-time. For such an iconic show, they mailed it in.

                  -Chris

I thought the Mash finale was very poignant. That show always had a great balance between humor and pathos.

Sopranos was clever but a bit of a cop-out.

I do remember how pleasantly surprised I was at the Newhart season finale, but I think the stakes are much lower for the season finale of a comedy.

There was no bigger fan of the show LOST throughout its run, but as the show neared its end, it became apparent that they had backed themselves into a corner that they couldn’t get out of. I had no awareness of the JJ Abrams “mystery box” method of storytelling and fully expected that all of the initial mysteries would pay off... oh well.

In fairness, a lot of tv shows don’t always have the benefit of knowing when their last season has aired so, hard to plan for that!

                      True!

Some series had a finale -and return. Others end thinking they will have a finale. Others just end.

I was seriously sad when The Animated Silver Surfer ended with a cliffhanger due at least in part to Marvel reorganization.

It is cool when shows like Arrested Development that did not get an ending are renewed after a hiatus to give us closure.

Earth 2. Loved that show. I was so into it. Then evil NBC suddenly cancelled it after one season...and left all the fans hanging forever and ever. Even the actors wanted a farewell movie to wrap things up, no dice. I hate network TV, that’s why I mostly avoid them. Gotham and The Big Bang are the only Network shows I’ve seen in the past few years.

The new Battlestar Galactica. Another one I loved (more than the original). But the finale was meh.

                        Enterprise, disappointing as well.

Farscape (one of my all time favorites), another meh. Wished they did a movie to properly wrap things up.

it's been a while since I watched Farscape the Peacekeeper wars but I recall it being pretty good and did wrap things up, though it was sad to see some beloved characters die

I did not mind the finale of LOST. I though it wrapped a lot up, but still left a lot for interpretation. my biggest gripe with LOST was all the sub plots they just completely abandoned
