Dang! They look like they could have stepped right out of the Saturday Morning Cartoon.

One of the message board posters at the link you provided had this to say:

Balanced mix of nostalgia and ***(whiskey-tango-foxtrot).

      I love it!

But I feel like I’m missing a lot of context. Was the D&D cartoon a bigger deal in Brazil? I feel like 99% of folks here in the states would be baffled by what this commercial is referencing. On the other hand, this commercial at a big RPG con like GaryCon or something would get a standing ovation.

Not sure if folks will get it, but D&D right now is selling better than it ever has before. The new edition of the game, the boost it got from Stranger Things, and the popularity of live streamed games on Twitch and other venues has created a surge in popularity for the game and increased brand recognition now to a point where the game is popular now than it has ever been, including the early 80s when it spawned all the Satanic conspiracy controversy. It's not surprising to see someone trying to cash in the popularity of the game in advertising right now, and adding an 80s nostalgia touch (which is another big tend in marketing right now) to it just gives it another level to connect with potential consumers.

          That is awesome.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Wow! That is a near perfect re-creation of the characters!

              Costumes are amazing.

They may have to go CGI for Dungeon Master to be in the poster.......

That was really well done. Nice to see they finally get to go home too.

Very cool and I'd watch a feature length movie based on that for sure!

The weird synchronicity here for me is that our family car around the time the cartoon was airing was a Renault Encore.

                          It's very, very cool!

The Clock of Invisibility actually would not make any more room inside the car, though, Ha!, ha!

                          -but it is brilliant!
