    Stretchable Heroes

1979 was a good year for corn syrup filled heroes and monsters. Kenner would eventually sue Mego over their Elastic Heroes line.

I had the Hulk, but stretched him too far and he ripped and leaked, so I tossed him in a field. I was not nice to my toys...

I've said it before, but my "NOT CANON" brain...even at 4 years old...couldn't get passed the fact that none of Mego's Elastic Heroes should be stretching! I didn't know they made Plastic Man. Now him, I would have wanted!

I would have been all over Plas but I remember thinking the rest were silly as a kid.

Stretch X-ray is amazing! He would've made an awesome monster/bad guy to fight my 8" heroes back in the day. Too bad I didn't even know he existed.
          WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

I had Stretch X-Ray, he was indeed awesome.

I was a FF fan, I never understood why there was no stretch Mr. Fantastic. I felt much as Chris did about authenticity.

I remember seeing Plastic Man once, and really wanted him.

I got Elastic Hulk and Elastic Spider-Man for Christmas of 1980. I don't think either one of them lasted more than 2 weeks.
