My original Star Wars Return of the Jedi Imperial Shuttle

Star Wars Return of the Jedi Imperial Shuttle, by Kenner.

These are pictures of my Return of the Jedi Imperial Shuttle that I still have. It was in an attic for a few years, and it was in a storage building for a little while, but I didn't think to take photographs of it until now.

These should be bright enough on a brighter monitor setting.

I was afraid to open the side door, but there was so much adventure in there, that chamber, in the 1980's!

    Please enjoy!

REALLY nice! You were a lucky kid to get that one. I don't think there were many of those in circulation.

            Thanks very much, Hedji!

            Yes, indeed.

I think that I remember a few of them lined up inside Montgomery Wards, but I don't remember which store it came from. I may have never known the store, but it shows how wildly popular Star Wars was, for an area with a smaller population to even carry them.

              Very neat !!!

Is the imperial shuttle from Jedi the same ship (in model form) played with by Luke in Star Wars ?

no, that was a different ship. the modern toy lines made one in the late 90's

very nice, I still have mine with the original box as well. unfortunately, the electronics don't work anymore after being in the attic for a few years

I think I got mine on clearance in $15.00 around 85 or 86

Seeing the box, I recall it. I guess this is the first time I’ve seen one outside of the box. It’s great that you’ve hung onto it!

Nice! Wow, you even kept the box. Never had one as a child. I didn't get a Shuttle until the Saga reissue.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

                        ---

                        Yeah...

There were a few things that I kept the box or card for. Some of my toys traveled thousands of miles.

I learned to hold on to the packages after my family told me to do so, because they collected the old Star Trek models and Star Trek Mego items.

A few years back, I sold some of my near mint toys with their boxes, the ones that I put away on the shelf each time, others were played with a lot, and were left in an unfinished play room that had a rough wooden floor. Many toys survived the outdoors and indoors, though.

I sold Transformers and Robotech, even the large size Scot Bernard motorcycle in box, that did actually transform into his armor!

                          My original Buzz-Saw from Silverhawks.

I rarely hear of Silverhawks, lately.

Buzz-Saw made it through being outdoors for many years.

That was a model of the T-16 Skyhopper and I never noticed until later in life that you can see the T-16 parked in the bay while he’s flying the model around talking to C3PO. Don’t know if that was in the original theatrical release or added in later.

I have had pretty good luck reviving the electronics in vintage Star Wars toys. They are not very complex. You may or may have to take the ship apart. But on a couple of my ships I only had to use white vinegar on the contacts. I had a couple others where I had to apply electricity and manually get the motor turning until it loosens. I even saved one that was covered with battery acid. Yeah. That was my fault. I left the batteries in the TIE fighter as a kid. It is worth a try.
