I hope it's good and I'll check it out. I am worried that "kid-friendly" show centered around a group of teens will translate into a series written by adults thinking they know what the kids want.WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better. -
I was interested until I saw that it is about teenagers finding a derelict star ship. really? because star fleet is so rich they just leave ships lying around and a bunch of kids would know how to access the computers and bypass security protocols?Comment

I am currently re-watching Star Trek the Original Series. It has been so long since I watched some of them I have forgotten some of the stories and events.
I will have to say that the cartoon trek was basically a fourth season. It starred the same actors , similar situations, and same feel.
If it is not on some stupid streaming Network, I would watch a new animated series.
Star Trek has been hit-or-miss over the years. Next generation was awesome. Deep Space Nine on Voyager had an occasional good story line. I passed on Enterprise after the first episode, and will not give Discovery a chance until it is more readily available
I liked the movies 1 to 4, and generations were great. 5 and insurrection weren't, but others were good.Comment

Kirk found a few derelict starfleet starships in TOS as I recall. And I could see a Wesley Crusher group getting the thing running with a Skeleton Crew as Scott and Sulu did in STIIIComment

yes but Kirk was a Starfleet officer and had access codes for the ships. how would a group of teenagers do that?Comment
