    Elongated Man kitbash

From CTVT: Steve Trevor head, red bodysuit, black super-boots. From Dr. Mego: black Mr. F gloves, Andorian belt. Only real custom part is the black pleather piece on the chest:

If you threw a pair of the peg-style FTC gloves on that I'd assume it was a factory figure. Great eye on your recipe.

Thanks! I deliberately went with the old style gloves for a Mego look, but, aside from the belt, it is something FTC could easily put together (though I'd hope for a new head if and when they do Mr. Dibny).

I'm with you on both. I love the peg gloves for my 66 Batman, but I just can't do it when it comes to my other stuff. I usually go with Green Goblin style.

Very cool looking, just like it was from original Mego, thanks for sharing.

The head re-use work pretty well!

                    Great job!

I'd love to see a picture of your, "Make 'em more like Mego," redone figures. I can see Firestorm and Dr. Fate's boots in the background.

Posted some pics in this thread:
I find myself replacing parts on a lot of the FTC DC figures I've gotten of late if I plan to put them in with the FTC repros of the originals. I tend to remove the molded, plug-in boots and gloves and replace them with Mego repro parts. I took a pair of red Conan boots and painted the cuffs yellow. then added an old fashioned

                          I like it!
I would never know that was Steve Trevor if you didn’t tell us.
                          It’s perfect for Elongated Man!

The head works better for Elongated Man than for Steve Trevor.
