AVENGERS: ENDGAME Thoughts and Reviews; The NON-SPOILER Edition

Howdy, gang. With AVENGERS: ENDGAME now less than a week away, figured it would be a good time to fire up the review and commentary threads. This one is SPECIFICALLY for NON-SPOILER reviews and comments regarding the movie.

Personally, I'm unplugging myself from all social media which could potentially present spoilers as of Monday and MIB41 and I have our tickets to see ENDGAME opening night (still the Friday to me) at the 7:00 show. Really looking forward to going in, despite the trailers and commercials, essentially not knowing what to expect beyond the addition of Captain Marvel to the Avengers' ranks.

This will be my first trip to the movie theater since Infinity War.

I’ll wait for Captain Marvel and Shazam until Redbox has them...but Endgame is a whole different animal altogether.

Pretty epic in my opinion and I'm still trying to sort out some of it.

There is no mid or end credit scene. Bummer! I could have been home in bed by the time the credits ended, if I had known.

Wow... what a roller coaster ride!
Not perfect, but then no movie is.
Very emotional. An epic and fitting climax to over a decade of MCU movies.

It's not a completely tidy conclusion. But I have never seen anything so Epic with a capital "E".

It is almost as though they made the stakes TOO high. I don't know how they will ever top the scale of this, because it was stuffed pretty full.

Just when I think they can't make Thor more fun, they prove me wrong.

There are scenes that will have you cheering. It is a very emotionally heavy film.

It pays you back BIG TIME for watching lesser efforts such as Thor:The Dark World. It really is a celebration of all the Marvel films up to this point.

A person could jump in and watch Infinity War and (be a bit confused) but still enjoy it. Not the case with this one. You almost need to have seen all of the films to appreciate it.

I'm not sure it's as FUN as Infinity War or even Civil War.... but I saw things on screen I thought I'd never see.

After 3 hours, and multiple storylines with huge consequences for the future of the MCU, be prepared to have your brain fried. There is a LOT to process and sort out.

Can't believe we are living in these times when this stuff is popular.

^I agree with that. There's only two decisions that really surprised me.

I'm assuming the original stories were right and this was a three film arc (Gauntlet, War, Endgame) because you can see a middle movie from the last act of Infinity War and the first act of Endgame.

I respect how they tried to answer the criticisms Marvel movies have been hit with whether it's the lack of consequences the majority of MCU stories have or plot points and character decisions.

The film is Epic! Definitely a movie to go and see in the cinema.

I kept thinking about the movie last night and this morning on my drive to work. I said last night that it was epic, and I'm happy to see others are saying the same thing.

It's a very busy movie, and as others mentioned, it makes no excuses for not knowing what happened in the previous Marvel movies. It pays off big time to know your Marvel movies. The stakes are huge, and honestly it doesn't feel rushed to get to the end at all. I know they had 3 hours to show us the tale, but I would have sat for another hour happily.
