    Systems Control Headquarters

I cannot get over the charm of generic playsets like this, lots of computer buttons to press, laboratory work to be done and of course, a lookout. This would have had my imagination going for hours.

It shows up on ebay pretty often, and it is cool set even seeing it in person.

Ahhh, cardboard-coverd vinyl. I love it.

Would the consoles work at all with 1/9-scale?

Hasbro actually started out in the cardboard-covered vinyl market, but in the GIJoe days, they left this stuff to the ambulance chasers of the toy world.

It would have been a very cool set that you got at Christmas, had lots of fun with through the winter and spring until it fell apart in the summer. Well worth it!

Well the Adventure Team Command Post was a vinyl and cardboard playset. I think the Atomic Man was a cardboard backdrop style playset. I can't think o any other playsets from Hasbro that weren't vehicles or accessories.

I LOVE those graphics. It impressive how such simple graphics really got my childhood imagination going. I was fascinated by layouts like the one in the Control Center.
